Free Family Pancake Cooking Experience - February 8th
First up for February, we’re offering an amazing free opportunity for parents with toddlers - a family pancake cooking experience! Sign up now to join this fun and healthy culinary experience suitable for little ones. This cookery session is an excellent way to practice making pancakes in time for Shrove Tuesday.
To ensure your place, please book early as both sessions have limited places and booking ahead is required. The event allows one adult with a maximum of two children, who must be supervised at all times. Make sure you also bring a plastic tub so you can take home any leftovers to enjoy later on in the day!
Free Football Workshop - 13th - 17th February
All 13-16-year-olds living in the Thamesmead area are invited to take part in this fantastic FREE 5-day football workshop that will run from Monday 13th February till Friday 17th February, between 10am and 1pm. The experienced coach running this event will give young participants the chance to expand their horizons and challenge themselves while learning some useful skills.
Participants will have the opportunity to gain a Laser Awards Level 1, an internationally accredited award. Moreover, those attending this workshop will be able to develop their social, emotional and well-being skills via the Aspirational Football Programme (AFP). So don't miss out on these unique opportunities to grow your knowledge of football and develop important life skills for free!
Free Toy Swap - 23rd February
Do your kids need a refresh of new goodies to play with? Join us at Blackfen Community Library for our FREE Toy Swap! Come with up to 4 toys, figures or games no bigger than a shoe box and swap them in for something different. We ask that the toys be of good quality and in working condition, so everyone can get the most out of the new toys they bring home.
Drop-off starts at 9:15 and Toddler Sing Time begins at 10am. Bookings are not required for the swap portion, but advisable to secure a spot; this activity happens between 10:30 and 11:30. Any leftover toys will be found in homes through charity donations or kept for future toy swap events.
Bexley Eco Festival Earth Summit - 24th April
The Bexley Eco Festival Earth Summit is an exciting opportunity for Year 9-10 students to gain unique and valuable life experiences. Taking place in the Spring of 2023, the event will feature four main themes - Textiles, Media, Music and Nutrition - all based on environmental activism with a focus on creating an eco-friendly fashion show.
This is an ideal way for secondary school students across local Bexley schools to get practical experience related to what they are learning or interested in studying, as well as develop skills that can be used throughout their educational lives. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity.
